Yeah, this is usually the number one reason why people use MSK. Though, most people don't know that you can leverage Confluent Cloud via the AWS marketplace and with AWS credits like any 1st party AWS service.

Also, many people simply don't understand that MSK is not fully managed (even though their marketing says it), but only partially managed (and excluding Kafka support from their SLAs).

Anyway, this is of course my biased Confluent perspective. There are probably some other reasons to choose MSK that I am not aware of... :-)
